There is no denying this pandemic has thrown us all into uncertain and unprecedented circumstances. Last week, we had a staff meeting to discuss potential actions that may need to take place. As our top priority, in order to ensure the health and safety of artists, volunteers and the public, we will be instituting rules and regulations that will be ultimately guided by the state of California, Riverside County and the City of La Quinta. At this point, it is too early for any government agency to know what strategies, protocols and rules will need to be in place. We assure you we are staying informed and in close communication with the La Quinta City Staff. We will keep everyone informed on an ongoing basis.
Below are some of the safety initiatives that will be implemented for Celebration 2021 :
Total number of invited Artists will be 200 – a 10% reduction from past years.
We will monitor total number of people on the event site at any given time. For artists this means a limit to assistants. We may be restricted to the total number of people on the site.
Everyone who is inside the park including artists & assistants will be temperature checked before entry daily.
The main (West) Entrance will have multiple lines for patrons that are clearly marked for social distancing.
Hand sanitizing stations throughout the event.
Face Coverings will be required for everyone inside the park. They will also be sold at the event in our Celebration Retail Shop.
Signage throughout the event reminding everyone the importance of social distancing.
Signage in each Artist booth requesting that all patrons remain 6 ft. apart.
Covid – 19 Cancellation Policy for Artists:
Artists have until October 15, 2020 to apply for Celebration 2021.
No refund on $50 application fee.
December 1, 2020 – Deadline for single booth fee due - $300. Upgrade to larger booths will not be due until January 31, 2021.
Artists have until January 1, 2021 to cancel and receive a full refund of their booth fee.

Event Force Majeure Clause:
It is understood and agreed that La Quinta Art Celebration 2021 may, if required by force majeure or other reasons beyond its control, to postpone or shorten the event. No Artist shall have any right or claim for any damages whether direct, indirect or consequential, or any other kind, arising or alleged to arise by reason of any postponement or cancellation of Celebration.
How to apply
Zapplication (Zapp). ZAPP® enables artists to apply online to La Quinta Art Celebration through a jurying website, ZAPPlication.org. The online application process allows crafters to upload digital images of their artwork for jury review.
The application fee is $50. An Artist may apply up to 4 times for La Quinta Art Celebration. We only require that the body of art is different per application. If you have technical questions, please call ZAPP at 888-562-7232. For all other questions call Artist Helpline at 760-628-7770 or email
All applications must be made through ZAPPlication.org There is no charge for an Artist to join ZAPP, the trusted application management and jurying system for hundreds of events. La Quinta Art Celebration requires 4 images of your art (all must be from the past two years.) The 5th image is a booth image. If you have never participated in an outdoor festival do not panic. Either borrow a canopy and set-up a booth in a park or convert an empty corner of your home or studio and create your own booth. Remember we are seeking a booth display that appears as an art gallery. Work should be spaced well and balanced throughout the booth. The work in the booth shot must match the work that you are submitting.
If you have any questions, please call our Artist Helpline at 760- 628-7770.
